Bilston Resource Centre has played a very important role in the community over the past thirty years.
In a diverse community with higher than average unemployment it has given
people the crucial help they need to find work and to stand on their own feet.
Locally based employment services like this can understand and reach people in a way that is much more difficult for national programmes.
As we try to recover from the impact of the pandemic this work is needed more than ever. I wish BRC every success in the future and in their continuing mission in the local area.

I was going through a difficult time when made redundant and went through depression. BRC staff and management have helped me so much and supported me to achieve my aspirations. I am now working as a lead cook in community café, which I enjoy.

BRC helped me when I was going through severe depression and was at a very low point due to no longer being able to work as a mechanic.
When joining IT at BRC the staff made me feel welcome and valued.
Since completing the IT provisions and passing my exams, I am now volunteering as a digital mentor at BRC.
I understand where learners are coming from and able to help them to improve their IT skills and knowledge.
For me it was the socialising aspect and learning with others that helped me.
